   Trang's beaches
Trang's beaches
In the past, the city of Trang served as the main Thai Port in the Andaman Sea. However, today Trang has switched it emphasis from a shipping port to a tourist haven. The expansive beaches and lush forests make Trang one of the hidden gems in the kingdom's crown.
Location
The majority of Trang's beaches are within the Had Chao Mai National Park. Along the west side, there is a beach that stretches for 120 kilometers. The area of Trang also consists of nine islands located close to shore. The National Park Office is in Amphoe Sikao.

Highlights
Had Pak Meng: Had Pak Meng is a seven kilometers long beach, which serves as the symbol of the province. On the beach are a pair of craggy cliffs which shelter the city from the wind. Following the beach is a road, making the majority of the coastline accessible, thus cutting down on the impact of crowds. Trang has many accommodations geared toward every conceivable type of traveler.
Had Chang Lang; Had Chang Lang is located next to Had Pak Meng. This quiet beach sits against a pine tree lined road and is home to the National Park Office. At the corner of the beach is a steep cliff adorned with prehistoric paintings. The water here is very shallow, so swimmers will have to wade a considerable distance to enjoy their sport. Had Chang Lang also has many restaurants offering sumptuous food and campsites for visitors wishing to sleep under the stars.
Had Chao Mai: Had Chao Mai is located on the western end of the National Park. The beach here is wide, but the water is shallow, making it a great place for family outings. On the backside of the beach is the Chao Mai Cave, which can be reached via a rental long-tail boat. Once inside the cave you can see the many stalactites and stalagmites that adorn the floors and ceilings.
Had Yong Ling-Had Sun: Both Had Yong Ling and Had Sun are next to the beach of Chao Mai. These beaches have pine trees where you can escape the sun. If you walk though the mountain tunnel, you will find the path from Had Yong Ling to Had Sun.

How to get there
From the town of Trang, take Highway 4046 to Sikao. Drive for thirty kilometers until you reach Highway 4162. Turn left onto 4162 and drive along it for ten kilometers. After ten kilometers, turn left and continue for seven kilometers until you reach the National Park Office. The total distance from Trang is forty-seven kilometers.
