WAT NANGNONG worawihan
This temple is thought to have been built in the Ayutthaya period during the reign of King Srisanpetch VIII (Khunluang Sorasak).
Ubosot: The main chapel dates from the reign of King Rama III. The exterior door panels are inlaid with mother-of-pearl, the interiors painted with gilded lacquer. Murals depict stories and characters from Chinese literature, and pictures of the virtuous Chinese holy men, Hok, Lok and Siew.
Chedi: Built during the reign of King Rama III, the 20-sided chedi stands on an octagonal base. An image Luangpor Toh is enshrined at the front.
Wihan: The pediments are decorated with stucco dragons and the chedi with coloured ceramics. The old wihan contains two Buddha images said to have been found protruding from a mound in the earth.
