In reply, the king promised the Abbot a new temple if his prediction came true, and, on his accession, he ordered the temple to be entirely renovated. Murals: The paintings depict Tudonkawatra the 13 ascetic practices of Buddhism, in contrast to most temple murals which tend to depict the story of the ten Lives, or the life story of the Lord Buddha Ubosot: The main chapel has a two-tier roof decorated with traditional chorfa and bairaka. The carving on the gable is of a crown above a throne with two-tier parasols on each side, the Royal insignia of King Rama IV Wihan of the Reclining Buddha: The prayer hall dates from the early Rattanakosin period. The Reclining Buddha is in the eastern part, while in the western part is a Buddha image in the Subduing Mara posture. Prangs: There are four Khmer-style stupas of different sizes.
