The phliew Waterfall Chanthaburi
The phliew Waterfall is one of the more popular
waterfalls in the region because of its vehicular
accessibility. Many visitors to the
Chanthaburi Province visit the Phliew on their
way to see the orchards in Amphoe Muang.
There are also many other falls ritin close proximity.
The Phliew National Park straddles
Amphoe Muang, Amphoe Laem Sing,
Amphoe Khlung, and Amphoe Makham.
The Natianal Park Office is located
in Amphoe Muang.
The Phliew Waterfall : The Phliew Waterfall
has three levels and is surrounded by a
dense bamboo forest. The lowest level
has the highest drop, making this
a favorite with tourists.
The clear water flows between the rocks
before falling into the green pool below,
which is suitable for swimming. While swimming,
you will be sharing the water with hundreds of
indigenous Soro Brook Carp. Don’t wory,
The Khlong Narai Waterfall : The Khlong Narai Waterfall lies eight kilometers before the Khlong Narai Ranger Unit. After driving down the road, you will need to park and walk for an additional two and a half kilometers to the waterfall. Of all of the moderate-sized falls in the area, this is the most stunning. After basking in the simple beauty of Khlong Narai, you can visit the Klang Waterfall, which is only 700 meters away. Although the Klang is smaller, it is still worth time to see it.
The Trok Nong Waterfall : The Trok Nong Waterfall is only twelve kilometers from the Phliew Waterfall. The best way to get there is to drive towaed Amphoe Khlung and ture right at Amphoe Makham on Highway 3277. This is a beautiful waterfall, but you will need to walk three kilometers through the forest to get there. However, since the path follows the creek, you will have wonderful scenery along the way. While walking, you will pass the Mai Si and Klang Waterfalls. At the end of the trail, you will finally see the Trok Nong
How to Get there
From Chanthaburi, take Highway 3 toward trat for fourteen kilometers and then turn left. If you continue straight on this road, you will run into the National Park Office. The total distance is seventeen kilometers.
