The Nam Nao National Park is located in Amphoe Muang, Amphoe Lomsak, and Amphoe Lomkao in the Phetchabun Province and Amphoe Khonsan in the province of Chaiyaphum. This mountainous park has unparalleled views and is considered one of the most picturesque parks in the kingdom. The Nam Nao National Park is located between Amphoe LomSak and Amphoe Chumphae on Highway 12. The National Park Office is in Amphoe Lomsak. Highlights The Pha Hong Cave: The Pha Hong Cave is located at kilometer marker 39 on Highway 12. The cave is set within a stone mountain and has many beautiful stalactites and stalagmites inside. To reach the cave, you have to ascend 200 meters. The views from here are stunning, particularly in the afternoon.
Suan Son Ban Paek: Suan Son Ban Paek is off of Highway 12 at kilometer marker 49. Turn here and continue driving for five kilometers. At the end, you will find a pine tree forest and a serene setting.
Suan Son Phu Kum Khao: Suan Son Phu Kum Khao is located off of kilometer marker 53. There is a small road here, which you will have to drive on for fifteen kilometers. There is a forty square kilometer pine forest and a hill called Phu Kum Khao. The top of the hill will give you a viewpoint for the surrounding area.
The Heaw Sai Waterfall: The Heaw Sai Waterfall is at kilometer marker 67. This moderate-sized waterfall is a one kilometer walk from the road. Once here, you can enjoy the cascading water falling into the opulent pool below. This waterfall was voted the most beautiful in the Nam Nao National Park.
The Sai Thong Waterfall:The Sai Thong Waterfall is a small peaceful area 500 meters from the Heaw Sai Waterfafl. How to Get There From the town of Lomsak in Phetchabun, take Highway 12 to Chumphae. Drive for two kilometers to kilometer marker 50. Turn left here and then drive two kilometers to the National Park Office. The total distance is eighty-nine kilometers.
