Mokochu is the highest mountain in the Mae Wong National Park. It is located in Amphoe Khiong Khlung and Khiong Lan in the Kamphang Phet Province and Amphoe Mae Wong in the Nakhon Sawan Province. The National Park Office is in Amphoe Khiong Lan in Kamphang Phet. The path leading to the summit begins in Amphoe Mae Wong.

Mokochu: Reaching the summit of Mokochu is challenging for even the most ambitious adventurers. The area leading up is difficult and confusing. People not familiar with the area should obtain a knowledgeable guide from the Park Service Center. Your journey will begin in the Mae Rewa Ranger Unit. The first day of trekking is relatively easy as you ascend the gentle grade and have to cross the creeks. In the second day of travel becomes more difficult as the grade increase and pass the Mae Liwa waterfall. It is grueling as you scramble your way up the daunting slope. During the third day of hiking you will reaching the top of this 1,960 meters summit. The total distance for this trip is fifty challenging kilometers. The summit allows you see the Khiong Lan, Umphang, and Huai Kha Khaeng forests. Because of your altitude, it is possible to watch both the sun rising and setting. Before embarking on this journey, you need to make sure you are in top physical condition and have all the necessary equipment. The best time to visit is between November and February when the air is cool. During the rainy season, the creeks swell, making them difficult and dangerous to cross. During the hot season there is a constant threat of forest fires. If this sounds too challenging, there are many other sights to see in the national park like the Mae Kasa and Mae Liwa waterfalls. How to Get There From the town of Kamphaeng Phet, take Highway 1 to kilometer marker 338, then turn right to Highway 1117 to Khiong Lan and turn right to the nationak park office for sixteen kilometers. The total distance from Kamphaeng Phet town is sixty-six kilometers.
