Koh Samet Rayong Travel guide

Koh Samet

In the past, Koh Samet was a target rage for the Royal Thai Navy. However, today all the shells have been cleared and Koh Samet is the most popular island among foreign and Thai tourists alike. People come here in droves because of the clean white beaches and its close proximity to shore.
Location
Koh Samet is six kilometers from Ban Phe and is part of the Khao Laem Ya-Mu Koh Samet
National Park. The majority of the beaches are on the eastern side of the island, while the west has only one.

Highlights
The Beaches on the Eastern SideThe Eastern section of Koh Samet has long expansive beaches connected with each other. While it appears to be only one large patch of sand, each section has its own name. The majority of the accommodations are found here. You can find many places to suit your price range and can have either a bungalow with air-condition?ing or a fan. The most popular beaches on the eastern side are

Ao Phai
Ao Pai has location close with the Sai Kaew Beach which it is very popular beach on Koh Samet. Thus you will meet the all tourists at beach. Ao Pai rather quiet more than Haad Sai Kaew and lot of sea rock on the beach. We comment if you prefer sunbathe on the beach; Ao Pai is one place for you. However, Ao Pai is not fine for travelers to swimming because it has whirlpool on the sea. Which you will see the red flag on the dangerous area.
