Koh Mak Trat
This island, thirty-five kilometers from the Laem Ngob Pier, has beautiful beaches lined with coconut trees, perfect for visitors looking for privacy. While it is smaller than Koh Chang in size, its views and serenity are second to none. Location Koh Mak, in King Amphoe Koh Kood, has a twenty-seven meter long road around it. The landscape is relatively flat allowing for larger beaches. In the surrounding area of the island are Koh Kham, Koh Ranyang Nok, and Koh Rayang Nai. Highlights

The Khao Phaen Thi Viewpoint: The Khao Phaen Thi Viewpoint sits atop the highest point on Koh Mak. From here, you can see the entire island as well as the other islands nearby. How to Get There From the town of Trat, take Highway 3148 to Laem Ngob. The Laem Ngob Pier is just fourteen kilometers down the road. Boats leave for the island once a day, at 3 p.m. The boat ride to the island takes three hours.
