Climbing Khao Luang: The only way to get to the top of Khao Luang is by hiking. The trip will take, at least, three days and two nights. This mountain stands at 1,835 meters above sea level. Your trek will start in the village of Khiri Wong. In the beginning, you will find yourself hiking through farmlands until you reach the Wong le Yung Waterfall. This is where your ascent begins. As the terrain becomes steeper, you will find yourself following a creek amongst a forest of ferns. As you gain altitude, you will notice that the trees become shorter and shorter. The air soon becomes filled with an exhilarating mist, which cools your body and enables you to continue walking. When you reach the plateau, you will be setting up camp for the night. From you campsite, you will have a clear view of the valley and the distance you have already covered.

How to Get There
Take Highway 4015 from Nakhon Si Thammarat to Lan Saka. Drive along the road for twenty-nine kilometers. Turn at the National Park exit and continue along the road for three kilometers. The total distance is thirty-two kilometers.
