Had Chao Sam ran and Had Puek Tian are located in Amphoe Muang in the Phetchaburi Province. During the Ayutthaya period, King Naresuan and his brother Somdet Phra EkaThotsarot used to make a pilgrimage here to enjoy these beautiful beaches. King Rama VI also enjoyed this area and assigned it the name of Samran, which means joyful in Thai.

From Phetchaburi, take Highway 3177 to Had Chao Samran. The distance is fifteen kilometers. From Had Chao Samran, take Ratchamlamly Road to Had Cha-am. The total distance from Phetchaburi is forty kilometers.
