   Doi Inthanon Chiang Mai
Doi Inthanon Chiang Mai
Doi Inthanon is the tallest mountain in Thailand. Also called (The Roof of the Country), the summit can be reached by car.
Location
Doi Inthanon is part of the Thanon Thong Chai Mountain Range, located in the Doi Inthanon National Park in Amphoe Chom Thong, Amphoe Mae Chaem, and Amphoe San Pa Tong in the Chiang Mai Province. The National Park Office is in Amphoe Chom Thong.

Doi Inthanon
Doi Inthanon: Doi Inthanon covers forty-eight kilometers from the base to the summit. The weather here is cool all year-round. Atop the summit is a nature studies route where you can learn about the different plants in the area.

Phra Mahathat Napha Methanidon
Phra Mahathat Napha Methanidon and Phra Mahathat Nopphon Phumisiri: Phra Mahathat Napha Methanidoa and Phra Mahathat Nopphon Phumisiri is located on the way to Doi Inthanon at kilometer marker 45. This beautiful Chedis was constructed by the Royal Thai Air Force to show their affection for the King and Queen. From this Chedis, there is an expansive view of the valley below.

Mae Ya Mae Ya
Waterfalls: Doi Inthanon also has many imposing waterfalls such as the Mae Klang, Mae Ya, and Wachiratan. Each of the waterfalls has a road leading to it, making them accessible to all. In the same area is the Royal Agricultural Project. Here, you can see vast fields of winter plants.

Nature Trails
The Nature Trails: There are eleven nature trails that can be visited without having to spend the night. Each route is unique, concentrating on a specific aspect of the area, whether it is plants, animals, views, or waterfalls.
How to Get There
From the town of Chiang Mai, drive on Highway 109 to Chom Thong for fifty-seven kilometers. One kilometer before Amphoe Chom Thong, turn right on to Highway 1009 to Doi Inthanon. The National Park Office is located at kilometer marker 31. The total distance from Chiang Mai is eighty-eight kilometers.
